How are you Pete?
Out riding yesterday I asked if all Barbarians were out riding and Tony said you’d had a bout of Labrynthitus? How are you? on the mend?
Will you still be up for the Epic on the 5th?

Pete has had labytrinthitis (amongst other things), Rich S is riding to a low heart rate as part of his recovery. Both whooped my arse all around Derbyshire.
If the Barbarians were all fit we could do a massively quick team 50 miler !

If and when?

Hi guys,
yes a dose of the pox has just cleared up thank-you and I am fighting fit again – I am now however struggling to find a pair of brown lycra shorts in view of my p. poor preparation for the Epic.
My goal had been :’To Finish’.
I might revise that to ‘To Start’

I’ve heard of cycle ’til you’re sick but not cycle ’til you sh*t yourself, that’s a new one. I look forward to the show at the Epic.

I like it – a new epitaph.
‘Here lies XXXXX. As in life he cycled till he shat.’

This is sounding more like whacky races with Pete as Dick Dastardly dropping his brown slick as a slippery obstacle to those following.

We should enter some sportive or other as ‘Wacky Racers’.

Think Rich and I have already done that to Paris

Moving the tone up a notch – is anyone riding Sunday? I’m thinking 3 hours in the hills.
I think I will race the cyclo-x at Allestree tomorrow if anyone fancies coming along/riding. Finn & Oscar will be riding, I think Fred is too.
Noon for the kids, 2pm for the bigger kids.
Any takers?

I’m out for a couple of hours tomorrow at 7.00, linking up with Richard and some others. Adrian is going out on his own early for a longer ride.
Are you going to be riding the Beeston sportive next week?
Good luck with the race…..I think my day is spoken for so won’t get to see you.

@ Pete – How did everyone get on at the cyclo-x?
Did you manage to get that hilly ride in? Are you going to ride next week?
September 19, 2008 at 12:29 pm
Hi guys,
sorry for the late response – the cyclo-x was great fun and far harder than I had even imagined. However, riding with style and elan (and lungs far out over the bars) I managed 93rd of 128 finishers.
My aim for the next one is to be lapped only once. oh and to get some team support riding alongside.
Finn & Oscar both raced too and did considerably better than their dad.
As regards tomorrow’s ride, I do hope to ride although I now have an ailment the doctor referred to as “raggedy arse” and am taking antibiotics and regularly squeezing cupfuls of pus out of – actually that’s probably about enough detail thinking about it.
Hope to see you in the morning.
Pete

Pete, I liked you yesterday. Now all I can think about is your pus’y posterior.
Thanks
